goats and buildings

Yes, more goats. Plus a bit of my nonsense art notes. Sometimes I learn things, or think I learn things, sometimes I remember things, often I think I know something and then it changes on me. Funny how that works. Writing down notes helps me track where I am and where I've been. The truths of the now always change the truths of the past. Often frustrating and often intriguing!

I am watchin' Baccano!

Some lovely variety over these pages, especially liking the thumbnails.

On the topic of learning things that are usually proven wrong later on, I've been considering writing articles condensing my current perspective on art technique because a fair number of people have been asking for advice from me and I end up repeating a fair amount of it.

But I've been hesitant to do so since I wouldn't even begin to consider any of the information I'm providing as reliable or solid. Simply a step up from the much worse information floating around on DeviantArt.

Do you think I should go ahead and put it that disinformation out there?

Me personally, I think it'd be awesome to see what your take on it all is. I have a hard time collecting the things I know into things I can say. If you've got a talent for that, it's worth sharing and starting dialogues about the subjects you have in mind.

Okay that settles it then, I'll see if I can type something up. Once I have it online could I give you a prod and get some feedback on it?

What I want to cover is less about technique and more about why certain fundamentals or techniques are important.

I consider that to be a problem most beginners face when looking at random tutorials. They're learning a technique, but they don't know the role it plays in the bigger picture.

I'll add the bulk of it over the coming month, you'll be able to find the draft at http://www.alwaysdoodling.com/tutorials/ while I work on it.
