Zombie Walk

If you are anywhere near Fremont in Seattle on July 3rd get your ass over there by 9pm. :D

kitties

I always have a hard time drawing cats and dogs... They are weird animals.

pangolins

I boiled some eggs from the store and some eggs from the farmer's market. The eggs from the store float and the ones from the farmers market sink. Odd.

Dead Otter

This was a big otter. It's the size of a sea otter, but kinda looks more like a river otter. I didn't flip it over because well, there were other people with me and we'd all just ate. Didn't want to make anyone loose their delicious food stuffs. Anybody recognize what species it is?

summoned

The ravens called, the demon came and so I joined the day.

Mask sculpted by Miss Monster, down n dirty paint by me.

I promise to post some art soon!

In my defense this has been the best week of my peculiar life.

quick horses

I did a bunch of paper mache'in' today. I also found a dead otter and poked it with a stick. I also found a dead rat, but it was too smelly.

anoles

These were always my favorite lizard growing up. Once I caught 44 in a couple of hours. I loved lizard wranglin'. Skinks are the worst to catch, they are ultra fast, mean as hell, and it's hard to get one without the tail breaking off. You have to be quick, but use a delicate touch, but then they generally bite you. Anoles are charming, docile, have light bites, can stick to glass, leap off of four story buildings fearlessly, and can change color! What's not to like?

humans and birds

I did a bit more work on the griffin automata tonight. I took the thing apart! I needed to make thicker parts to try out some ideas. Hope to make another post on it this week.

gharials

Mc Lovin'

super quickies

I'd like to do a more fleshed out image of griffins in waterfalls. I like the sounds and images when I think of water falling onto wings. The rushing, thumping, overwhelming sound falling into a silence of sorts. The solitude and liveliness of being cold to the bone and damp in a small temporary cave, just waiting and watching, peering into the brilliant detailess light. Then that rush of energy unleashed after the silent build up, cutting through the sound and water, calling into the falls.

Griffin Automata WIP part 2

this scares me

fish are friends

Matt gave this to me today because I kill plants and fish like no ones business. I kill mint and beta. That's just sad. My family comes from farming and animal raising backgrounds. So I'm not sure how I happened in all that. Anyway, here's to owning a beta again!

Edit: So if you know you're a fish killer why risk killing more fish? Well, my bird loves aquarium/terrarium life. When I had turtles and lizards he'd spend hours hanging out on their cages, being a jerk. Since our second bird died of fatty liver he's been extra crazy, which means he's lonesome and bored. It's difficult to socialize him with other birds. It took a long time before he accepted Jubes, but then they hit it off. I'm hoping Mr. Yet To Be Named Fish will keep his mind healthier. Plus I really like having a fish around. They have loads of personality. Weird fish personality.

I'm planning on making a little platform that attaches to the outside of Taz's cage so that he can look at the fish all day. Far enough from the bars that he can't chew on it. Covered so that he isn't dumping food and bird fluff in it either.

How rad would it be to have a hollow aquarium with a jungle of birds in the center and tropical fish and sharks swirling around it? :D

I'ma frame this business and put it on the wall.
