Oh yeah, just wanted to say, I draw a lot. Like, a lot a lot. That isn't my job though. This is what I do all day. Get on my zbrush sculpting, model it up in Max or Maya, retopo in Topogun, bake it out in Xnormal, paint it up, and export the whole mess into a video game! I love the whole process of making art assets. That does include some concept work, but I like all the things too much to get boxed in to one job for long. Besides, retopologizing is the perfect time to watch cartoons! Adventure Time all day dudes!
I took these shots without much lighting, which would have shown the normal maps off pretty good, but I wanted to show off the painting more so. I may try to Marmoset these later to show you some beefier images.
Hey guys! I'm super excited to be exhibiting at CTNX 2013. It all happens this coming weekend in Burbank. I'll be at table 94 selling sketchbooks, drawing monsters, and jawing your ears off about modeling for video games. Swing by and ask me anything! 13 years of game experience means I've likely got some stories to share. Anddddddddddddddd I've got a blank page in the convention sketchbook that is there for me to draw you some kind of sweet critter too.
Also, there is a high probability to see guest paintings by Peter Clarke!

Oh dang, dudes!
I've been so busy I hadn't even mentioned it! I left ArenaNet earlier this year, after almost a decade, to join another awesome team here in Seattle at Motiga.
I'm super excited to be here making more and more monsters.
Check out this logo? How could I not work here?! Oh wait, I do!

The Creative Talent Network, Stuart NG Books, and Wacom have a fabulous art gallery opening in Burbank this week. It is called Center Stage Gallery and will be featuring many artists from the animation industry in coming months. I am very excited about this.
The gallery opens this week and will feature the artwork of Peter Clarke. Check out details here:
If you are in the LA area I can't encourage you enough to go check out his show. His art is super inspiring and full of crazy creatures. If you are like me and love illustration, animals, monsters, and sword and sandal fantasy this is up your alley!
There are a whole bunch of events going along with the show and you can also meet Peter down there. Pretty sweet!

There is a wonderful game over on Kickstarter that you should check out! It is called Buddy and Me, and follows a young kid and their giant friend through lush dreams and fantasy tree house worlds. With 25 hours to go the project still needs a boost to get there. Please check it out!
Here are a few of the character development concepts I contributed to the project.
They were super fun to draw. :)
