Dragon Hunters WIP values

Added a white wash over the background to decrease the contrast. I think I went a little overboard with the highlights on the foreground. I'll knock some things back and re pick out my brights later. I'm in a limbo area where I'm really starting to dislike this image, but that is coming from fighting with it and looking too closely for too long. Just have to push past this phase and keep trying.

The black and white "ink" sketches are done in a program I love called Art Rage. The dragon hunter painting is all pencil and acrylic. Trying to upgrade my painting skills little by little. :)

Waow, impressive how you improve each step. Don't you fear when you add a lot of white in the background for example? Wondering "omg, maybe I added too much white!!!". If that was the case, you will have to redo some parts :/
That's what affraid me the most I guess.

Lights and darks aren't too scary to deal with. If you go too far in either direction a wash can do wonders to set things right again.
