Run Forest!

Here is my run cycle for this weeks assignment. I'll try to get the jump together for class too. Looks like the arms are a bit stiff on the down..something is jerky... Mostly like the leg action. I am so not ready for secondary motion!

I found out Quicktime can play gifs frame by frame. That is useful!

I'm feeling like I really want to try 3D again. Though I think going through this 2D process is really great for learning to plan and think though roughly through a motion.

Eccentric Walk 2

Looks like I'm still having trouble getting the hips to go up and down. I think I put so much rotation in the hip joint that it is overcompensating for the up down movement. I could swear I key in the pelvis at a high and low spot, but it must not be enough to show up when so much else is going on. Also, I think I may have overdone the top of the body a bit compared to the leg work...Nuts.

Local Street Art

Street art from around my neighborhood in Cap Hill. There is lots of good stuff around here, as well as bad stuff. I mostly avoided taking pictures of the rotten tags that the lamers put on folks buildings. Wheres the art in that? There isn't. It's just pee in a spray can.

Huckleberry, is that you?

Quick sketches from tonights coffee house escapade. I drew many secret drawings trying to break my work and emulate. These are not so secret. I like the steg head on the bottom. The dogs...well, I consider them failures. I just don't know hound faces too well. Should do some research and draw more dogs!

Walk Cycle all fixed up

I toned the arms way down and adjusted the head tilt a bit. I'm still not 100% happy, but I am happy now that it doesn't look so swingy. I'm using the free version of PAP and it reeeally inhibits some of what I think I could do. You can see some of the forms, like the upper arm, changing mass. If I could just duplicate from or zoom and rotate or something I think I could stay on model better. Ick. I can't even export movies. I have to take my frames in to Photoshop and piece em together in image ready. So ghetto.... I need to find a better way. I did download Pencil, but I have to take some time out to learn it.

Ideas for future Paper Wedgies

Roughs for Paper Wedgie designs. I'll end up taking some of these into Photoshop for the final line work and color treatments. When I get some time to do so... This year is busy!

Aaaaand some unrelated owl sketches.

Click it!

Walk cycle for class.

Not that this lil guy is going to impress AN-E-ONE, but it's not as terrible as I thought it would turn out. I actually like the leg movement. Head has too much up and down and the arms are a bit too swingy(which would be okay if they were slowed I think). I'll try to brush it up more if I can find time. For some reason early summer always gets stupid busy.

Somewhere in the distance I can almost hear Bobby whispering "Hand drawn!"

Peanut Butter Jelly Time!

I made a wed clay sculpture and cast a silicon mold and then cast gelatin in it for my brother's birthday this year. He love's him some bananas!

It is a reference to one of the best things ever.
